Shea McGee is the founder and CCO of Studio McGee and McGee & Co. Shea and her husband Syd launched their interior design firm in 2014. As the firm’s designs and clients grew, it paved the way for the launch of their e-commerce brand, McGee & Co., in 2016.
Shea McGee and her husband Syd star in the Netflix show, Dream Home Makeover. On Dream Home Makeover, the pair take viewers behind the scenes on their stunning design projects and into their busy home lives all while embodying their motto: “Make Life Beautiful”.

The McGees rose to Instagram fame in 2010, when Shea began sharing some of the home renovations she was undertaking on the platform and followers loved her signature light-and-rustic interior style. Syd, who had worked for six years to build a start-up digital marketing firm that was acquired, later joined to handle the business side.
Their work has garnered attention in the design world from House Beautiful, Domaine Home, Design*Sponge, Apartment Therapy, SMP Living, and One King’s Lane to name a few.
In Dream Home Makeover we’re given an insight into Syd and Shea McGee’s business, and how they juggle it with their family life. We see them taking on dreamy renovation projects – including swanky houses with basement cinema rooms and kitchens you could only dream of.
